Want to make delicious meals in your camper? Use the following tips for cooking in your RV!

Clean as You Go

Because your camper’s kitchen is so small, your meal-prep space is at a premium. As such, you’ll want to clean up as you go. Scrape vegetable and fruit cuttings into a compost bin, wash your knives, put away spices and condiments, and set aside dishes to soak so that you have as much space to cook as possible.

Bring Fewer Ingredients

The simpler your recipes are and the more ingredients they have in common, the easier it will be to cook in your RV kitchen. Try to find recipes that have similar ingredients, like marinara sauce, cheddar cheese, pasta, frozen vegetables and canned tuna or chicken. If you can cook your whole meal in one pot, so much the better!

Use Your Slow Cooker

One undervalued and underused tool in many kitchens, including RVs, is the slow cooker. This handy device is compact, easy to clean and versatile. All you need to do is fill your slow cooker with ingredients and liquid at the start of your day, turn it on and leave it for several hours. You’ll return to a delicious hot entree and all you have to do is add some sliced garlic bread or salad to have a complete meal.

Slow-cooker meals include chilis, soups, stews, roasts, chicken breasts, casseroles, pasta and even desserts. Look online to find some great recipes you can use while camping!
